At least 266 bird species are resident on the mountain. The remainder (104 species) are non-breeding winter bird visitors or passage migrants..Because of the different altitudes from 400 to over 2500 meters, a wide variety of bird species can be seen.

This 1 day bird watching tour This birding tour is one of the best spots for Northern Thailand. It combines all habitats and altitudes for most of the birds found here. Excellent for bird photographers with little time in Chiang Mai. It is very possible to spot more than 60 different species in just 1 day. Includes transportation by private air conditioned van, lunch, bottled water.
DOI LANG MOUNTAIN BIRD WATCHING TOUR
Doi Lang is the best area to view Thailand’s rarest birds such as the Mrs Hume’s Pheasant, Red-faced Liochichla, White-tailed Robin, Rufous Throated Partridge, White-rumped Falcon and more. 3 to 4 days is needed for this tour to cover both Eastern and Western slopes of the Doi Lang mountain and transportation from and return to Chiang Mai Thailand.
